Cardigan Bay Aberystwyth Ceredigion Wales
Clarach North beach is in Ceredigion and lies between the estuaries of the Ystwyth and Dyfi rivers. The beach faces the Irish Sea and is a sand and shingle beach. The Afon Clarach (Clarach River) is a small river that flows into Cardigan Bay after passing through agricultural and forested landscape and eventually holiday development before discharging into the bay. The beach is popular for swimming, windsurfing, surfing, sailing, and canoeing and is also highly recommended for coastal walks. A local nature trail stretches from Clarach bay, where Afon Clarach flows into Cardigan Bay, down to Aberystwyth, the walk has lovely panoramic views across Cardigan Bay.
