Abercastle beach near Fishguard, Pembrokeshire is a long narrow picturesque inlet of muddy sand and shingle. This cove is sheltered from winds making it ideal for kayakers and boats. Abercastle village has a working harbour and was the landing site of the first single handed crossing of the atlantic sailing west to east. Abercastle beach lies on the Pembrokeshire coastal path which offers fantastic scenic views. Facilities at the beach include disabled toilets and a slipway. The nearest facilities can be found in Trefin which has a café and caravan and camping accommodation.
