Tal y bont beach lies on Cardigan Bay and faces the Irish Sea. The beach lies in the middle of a 13 mile stretch of glorious coastline between Harlech and Barmouth, in Gwynedd, West Wales. | The beach has been graded as having the highest standard water (2010). Morfa Dyffryn is a large collection of sand dunes, of which Tal-y-Bont beach is a part. Morfa Dyffryn dunes, also known as Dyffryn Ardudwy, have been popular with naturists, nudists, for many years and in 2000 the local authority took a decision to erect notices designating a section of the beach for naturist use. | Also known as Benar Beach, Tal-y-Bont is a popular tourist and residential sand and shingle mix beach. Activities at the beach consist of swimming, fishing, surfing, windsurfing and also zoned jet ski areas. A number of walks are available in the area with trails weaving through a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The beach is adjacent to a national nature reserve and has, surrounding it, a range of plants and bird species including orchids and sharp sea rush and ringer plover and cormorants respectively.
