Located on the open plain between Snowdonia and the Isle of Anglesey, this former farm has been transformed into a stylish country house.
Tyn Rhos is surrounded by 50 acres of farmland with views of Snowdonia, and its friendly staff extend a warm welcome.
Bedrooms feature quality bedspreads and curtains, luxury bathrobes and towels, Egyptian cotton bedding, toiletries, courtesy trays and Freeview TV.
There is a large, restful lounge furnished with antiques, and a cosy, tastefully furnished bar. The dining room and conservatory overlook the gardens and the Isle of Anglesey.
Tyn Rhos, which means ‘house on the heath’, has won many fine awards.
Tyn Rhos has featured on TV and in magazines, including the Which? Hotel Guide. Staff gain overwhelming satisfaction from seeing guests return time and time again.
Martin and his team of talented chefs take great pride in the dishes that leave the kitchen and rely on fresh, local ingredients. Meat is sourced from local farmers and butchers; fish is freshly caught and local; and in the summer, vegetables and herbs come straight from the garden. An a la carte or daily fixed-price menu is available each evening and is freshly prepared using the best local produce. Breakfast is a memorable affair, featuring home-made rolls, preserves, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, kedgeree in winter, kippers or haddock and Welsh rarebit. Try a full Welsh breakfast with homemade oatcakes and laverbread. If you wish to dine in the restaurant in the evening, tables must be pre-booked.
North Wales is a special, historical and magical place. See the castles of Caernarfon, Conwy and Beaumaris. Visit the National Trust properties of Plas Newydd and Penrhyn Castle and enjoy the sandy beaches and coves of Anglesey and The Lleyn Peninsula. Walk beautiful Snowdonia and tackle Snowdon itself on foot or on the rack-and-pinion railway.
There is only one cot and 2 Z-beds available. These must be requested in advance and confirmed by the hotel. Dogs are allowed on request and charged at an additional nightly cost. Please confirm this with the property after booking.
