Take the path to Stanley Force Waterfall, discover the ‘jewels’ of the River Esk and the ancient village of Boot, or walk to Devoke Water, the largest tarn in the Lake District. Majestic Wastwater, the coast and unspoilt beaches are a short drive away. The adjoining cottages, with beams salvaged from shipwrecks on the Cumbrian coast and wood-burning stoves, lie in an idyllic rural location, forming part of a small former farmstead accessed from the fell road by a gated unmade track.
