Ideal touring location with spectacular views

Irt Valley View is a converted detached holiday home which has a spacious living room with vaulted cathedral ceiling, large picture window and woodburner to enjoy in the evenings, overlooking the spectacular views of Irton, where Lewis Carroll may have found inspiration to write Alice in Wonderland. The holiday property is situated on an escarpment overlooking the River Irt which flows from Wastwater Lake to Ravenglass. Enjoy the wonderful views in rural tranquillity with Muncaster Fell and Harter Fell in the background. Guests also have shared use of the 81/2-acre woodland with pathways leading down to the River Irt. The owners have created a small picnic area on the peaceful river bank renowned for its wildlife. Enjoy a day out to the South Lakes Wild Animal Park at Dalton-in-Furness and see endangered species such as tigers and white rhinoceroses, visit Muncaster Castle, or take a nostalgic trip on the miniature steam train ’La’al Ratty’, which runs on the narrow gauge railway from Ravenglass through the picturesque Esk Valley.
