Just over a mile away from the village of Cartmel, renowned for its 12th century Priory and Gatehouse, and the excitement of National Hunt racing at Cartmel Park in May, July and August, there are also many historic houses and gardens within a short drive. The nearby fashionable Victorian/Edwardian seaside resort of Grange over Sands has a one mile traffic free promenade, delightful shops and tea rooms plus two golf courses. Bowness, Windermere and the heart of the Lake District National Park are within easy reach, providing a wide range of walking, climbing, sailing and dining opportunities. A perfect holiday base for exploring or simply relaxing in the extensive pretty gardens. Shop, restaurant and pub 1 mile.
