Arden House
Church Stretton, Shropshire. Shropshire, England
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this elegant detached property is ideal for large familes or extended family holidays. Renovated, the property is light and spacious and boasts stone mullion windows and open fires on the ground floor and a games room. Set along a main road, it is conveniently positioned for visiting the historic town of Ludlow - one of the most picturesque towns in the area. Made up of half-timbered buildings, packed around a craggy stone castle, and with rural Shropshire forming a dreamy backdrop, Ludlow also offers plenty of shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas. In Church Stretton itself there is a recreational centre with a swimming-pool, tennis courts and golf. Arden House is situated close to the Welsh Borders, where there is a wealth of walking and cycling to be enjoyed along the stunning countryside, with an abundance of wildlife to be spotted. One of the best ways to enjoy this area is along the renowned Offa's Dyke, which runs past Montgomery - also well worth a visit. An easy drive leads to one of the most interesting places in the Severn Valley - Ironbridge Gorge, the collective name for a cluster of small villages huddled together close to the town of Telford. The most famous sight is the Severn Bridge, constructed in the late 1770s and the Ironbridge Visitor Information Centre is an excellent place to help understand more about this important area with the help of audio visual shows and exhibitions.......
