Set in the owner’s 8-acre grounds and ideally positioned for exploring rural Herefordshire with the Mortimer Trail on the doorstep and Offa’s Dyke Path close by, it is a paradise for keen walkers. For those who prefer a more leisurely stroll, there are plenty of National Trust properties including Berrington Hall, Hergest Croft Gardens and Croft Castle all within a short drive. Fishing and canoeing are available on the River Lugg leading down from the grounds of the holiday property, which can be approached from the owner’s grounds. Horse riding is also available and if visitors want to bring their own horse, there is a paddock on site. For children there is a small breeds farm only a short drive away to entertain them for an afternoon. In house catering is available on request. The Forge is a 16th century Grade II listed detached property with original beams, and is the oldest house in the hamlet of Aymestrey. The Old Vicarage is a beautiful spacious Regency house that has been tastefully restored by its owners. Pub 200 yards.
