Dating back to the 16th century, this spacious, ten bedroom detached farmhouse is situated in its own extensive and enclosed grounds enjoying uninterrupted, picturesque views across open parkland towards Wenlock Edge. Boasting a wealth of period details, including original oak timber framing, it was renovated in 2007 to retain its character and quality whilst providing every modern convenience. This includes a bespoke farmhouse-style kitchen and nine bath/shower rooms, most of which are en suite. The property can be adapted to suit the individual needs of large parties, with five of the ten bedrooms offering either twin or double beds. There are two large living rooms, both with open fires, a dining room seating 20, in addition to a children's playroom/study, a secondary kitchen/utility room and an external table tennis room. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed from the garden's pleasant patios and sitting out areas which enjoy fine, south facing country views. Ample parking is provided to the rear of the property. Henley Farmhouse is uniquely situated in the heart of the South Shropshire Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the ancient and private Acton Scott estate. This comprises a number of small farms and cottages, set amongst 1,200 acres of rolling pastures and woodland, whose landscape has changed little in two centuries. At the centre of the estate is the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, where the land is worked with shire horses to demonstrate the farming practices of 1900. It is open to the public from April to October, together with The School House CafÃ?Å¡ serving light meals and teas. There are many footpaths on the estate for varied walks providing landscape views, historic features and wildlife. The surrounding area offers a profusion of activities for all ages.
