Amidst the rolling uplands of the South Cotswolds, this spacious cottage boasts a large paddock-style garden. Carefully restored to preserve much character and charm, The Pump House offers every modern convenience, and well served by the shops and good pubs of the pleasant village of Hawkesbury Upton. This area of the South Cotswolds, has many small towns and villages, which have not changed over the centuries – Thornbury a typical English market town with a wide range of historic buildings or the ancient wool town of Wotton-under-edge with its small friendly shops, tea rooms and inns is a popular shopping place are well worth the drive. There are plenty of museums or national trust houses to visit, Durham Park, Horton Court, Berkley Castle, Oldbury Power station and the Jenner museum to name but a few, and with country parks an easy drive, there’s something for everyone. A little further afield you will find Bristol with its historic churches, maritime connections and architecture and Georgian Bath with its art galleries, museums and theatre royal, along with the wildfowl trust at Slimbridge, Berkeley Castle, Dyrham Park, and the Weston Birt Arboretum all within 20 miles. The Pump House is well placed for a holiday touring this beautiful area, and is just ½ mile from the Cotswold Way.
