Pengwern Hall is a fine example of a country estate that is quietly tucked away in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. This superb setting amongst 80 acres plays grand host to two beautiful detached cottages, formerly barns, that have been thoughtfully designed and furnished throughout to provide exceptional holiday accommodation. Each of the units has its own patio area with furniture and guests are welcome to explore the grounds of the manor which include meadowland, woodland (awarded SSSI) and riverside walks. Pengwern Hall Cottages provide possibly the best base from which guests can explore wonderful North Wales. The neighbouring town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is where the steam train can be caught to travel through the valley absorbing the breathtaking scenery, or where visitors see what life was like for the miners who worked the Llechwedd slate caverns. Heading towards the Lleyn Peninsula Porthmadog can be visited, made famous by the Clough family for its awe inspiring Italianate village - Portmeirion featured in the TV series The Prisoner. The west Wales coastline has plenty to offer from sandy coves to surfing seas. Golf, fishing, horseriding plus a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants locally. Pub 1 mile.
