Llandegla, Wrexham, Denbighshire. Denbighshire, Wales
This spacious and well-presented five-bedroom accommodation is close to the village of Llandegla in the Denbighshire countryside. Set on a hillside, the property has views across the surrounding hills, and has three patios from which the sunshine and the views can be enjoyed all day long. Part of Offas Dyke can be seen from the living room window. There is an indoor swimming-pool on the lower ground floor and there are many walks in the area with paths starting close to the property. The Plough pub is just 5 minutes' walk from the property and offers good food and an outdoor children's play area. Riding stables near to the village cater for horse lovers, and several pubs that serve food provide welome stop off points. There are also several golf courses in the area. Llangollen is 10 miles away with its wide range of shops, and many family attractions - including the Llangollen Railway, the Model Railway World, as well as the Llangollen Canal (with horse drawn narrow boats), and the renowned International Eisteddford. Several NT properties and gardens in the area offer pleasant days out - Bodnant Gardens (noted for collections of rhododendrons, azalea, magnolias and camellias) spans 7 acres and sweep down to the Conwy with fine views over Snowdonia. Features include a wooded valley, stream and wild garden on the lower level, and overlooking them is the large Italianate terraces and formal lawns on its upper level. Close to Wrexham, another NT property Erddig comprises a house, as well as the working range of outbuildings that supported the house. The state rooms still have their original 18th- and 19th-century furniture and furnishings, and its traditional walled garden has been restored to its 18th-century formal design, complete with a Victorian parterre and yew walk. Visitors can stroll in the parkland with woodland walks. The historic city of Chester only 20 miles away with its city walls and its many shops and restaurants is well worth a visit. Snowdon is only 40 miles away with Betws-y-Coed 20 miles away.......
