Set in picturesque countryside within the owners' grounds, this 17th-century barn has been sympathetically converted, using traditional materials wherever possible and also combining 21st-century technology. The cottages benefit from 10 acres of uncultivated flat meadow land, which is a haven for wildlife, in particular numerous species of birds. The Dolaucothi Roman gold mines are only 3 miles away. For great walks and cycling Brechfa Forest and The Brecon Beacons, with breathtaking scenery, are within easy reach. Llandeilo with its array of unusual galleries and boutiques can be visited. Aberglasney Gardens, with its Ninfarium, and The National Botanical Gardens of Wales are within a reasonable drive. A drive of about half an hour leads to Cardigan Bay, where bottlenosed dolphins can sometimes be seen leaping out of the water. Pub 1 mile.
