Nestling peacefully at the end of a country lane, this traditional Welsh stone farmhouse and its adjacent holiday cottage have been converted and furnished with great comfort and attention to detail. Spectacular country views of fields, woodland and hills may be enjoyed from both these serene properties, which are set within a large and completely private, mature garden with terrace and furnished barbecue area – ideal for dining al fresco in the warmer summer months. Perfect for visitors with children, the property boasts facilities for children’s badminton and cricket, and an indoor games room with table tennis, small snooker/pool table and darts.
Glandulas Uchaf is ideally situated for exploring this area, abundant with wildlife, flora and fauna. For excellent walking, the west of the region supports the UK’s first Marine Heritage Coast – featuring expansive beaches and a wide variety of sealife (dolphins, seals and porpoises). Inland the scenery is ever dramatic across the mountains, lakes, forests, rivers and waterfalls, providing yet more opportunity for walking and wildlife-spotting. In the surrounding area are numerous historic attractions, including Cilgerran Castle, Llanerchaeron Mansion (NT), Roman Gold Mines (NT), Llywernog Silver Mines, Welsh Gold Centre and Cardigan Island Farm Park. For more energetic pursuits there are facilities for horse riding, cycling, fishing, golf and water sports in the vicinity. Over the summer months this cultural area thrives with festivals such as the Aberystwyth Jazz Festival (September), the Aberystwyth Poetry Festival and the Cardigan Bay Regatta (August).
