Brynafon is a four bedroom, detached 19th-century property with fabulous panoramic views of the Taf Estuary, Carmarthen Bay and the romantic ruined Laugharne Castle. Laugharne is a beautiful and unspoilt location, south of Carmarthen, and can be reached in three hours from Heathrow. The town was one of south Wales foremost ports in the sixteenth century, with a trade in agricultural produce and a large cockling industry, but now it is just a quiet, picturesque town in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. The town has latterly become known for its links with Dylan Thomas, who lived just down the road from Brynafon and wrote many of his famous works in Laugharne, including Under Milk Wood which was based on the town and its people. Soak up some of the atmosphere of Dylan Thomas’ time, taking a drink in the famous local bars, which are only a stone’s throw from Brynafon. There also is an excellent choice of top quality restaurants within a couple of hundred yards, including Cors - voted the county’s most romantic restaurant in the Sunday Times. Shop 100 yards, pub 50 yards.
