We had a very enjoyable weekend here as a family. Was great to be able to have all our dogs with us too. The only reason for an '8' on overall rating was a broken door handle in living room and a blocked drain in garden. However it was mentioned to the owner and wasn't causing us a big issue and we said we didn't need it doing that weekend. He assured us it would be remedied for the next people staying there.

The cottage was very modern, clean and welcoming the only negative was the lack of Internet

Had a fantastic holiday. Loved the house and the owner was very helpful.
Will book again. :)

House was okay, just enough room for us (6 adults, 4 children, 1 infant). Boiler was broken, took 2 days for it to be repaired. Cooker took forever to heat up, grill too. Some pots, pans and plates were not cleaned properly on arrival. Quite a lot of dog hairs in the living room on arrival, and a couple of our party had been bitten most days, possible fleas. Since leaving Alarch nobody from our party has been bitten. Dining room windows wouldn't lock and could be opened from the outside. Door handles fall off or aren't fitted on some doors, owner said he was in the process of getting this sorted but upon reading the guest book it appears this has been an ongoing issue for about 18 months.
All in all the house was okay, but won't be coming back.

House looks good but very creaky ! Toilet straight off kitchen not very hygienic and caused a few issues as you have to walk through toilet to get to back door ! Fridge in inconvienent place as you can't walk out of kitchen if someone's in fridge or you bump door into fridge from other direction ! A few chairs in dining room rather uncomfortable as springs are sticking up .
Handle on ensuite was off ! Looking at guest book this has been an on going issue .
My biggest problem was the note from owner saying not to leave dogs un attended in the house ? We booked this house because it allowed dogs !
We had a great week in angellsey and will be back again
This is a lovely house but didn't quite fit all our requirements .

Lovely house but shame about garden area . Shops and beach are a bit of a walk away . Beach wasn't the best I've been to in anglesey . McDonald's and asda down the road also Chinese across from asda al which is better than the imperial palace . Did a lot of driving as I didn't think there was a lot to do in treeaddur buy most things are only 30mins drive so not bad . If this place had a garden then it would get marked better ,

Alarch is great for a lot of people to get together. Beds comfy, place very clean. Few hiccups at first, no hot water. This was remedied by using Emersion heater. Unfortunately landing very creaky so when one person up and you are light sleeper all awake. No garden to speak of just courtyard. Also needs a handyman to sort all the little jobs out

Our short break started off badly when we couldnt gain access due to the secure key unit not functioning. Luckily the owner was in the vicinity & gained access for us but eas also unable to extract the key from the failed unit.
Upon trying out the shower for the first time we discovered there was no hot water but again luckily were able to use the emergency immersion heater system after contacting the owner to get advice.
Next problem was lack of power in the main bathroom shower so another call. This turned out to be a piece of stone like material blocking the shower outlet hose pipe but we had called the owner given other problems so he was there to witness the issue.
Hot water issue was resolved a day later by British gas visit.
The high number of incidents, none of our making, did spoil the break for us but the owner was helpful in addressing them reasonably quickly even if he too was perplexed at the time

Cottage was lovely, but the trees in the back stopped the sun from getting through, which was a shame as the sun set at the back of the cottage.

Lovely property, very clean and plenty of room. More garden space would have been good for the children but they played well in the house as its so big! Wifi and more TVs and channels would have been welcomed but not essential as on holiday after all... Great place to stay!
