Cwm Yr Afon Cottage is attached to the owner’s 500 year old farmhouse in a stunning, isolated position above the village of Llanbedr in Snowdonia. The cottage has one double bedroom with an additional single futon and an ensuite bathroom making this a cottage that can sleep three people. The open plan ground floor has a modern fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and a cosy sitting room which is dominated by the magnificent stone fireplace which contains a woodburning stove and the original bread oven. Outside the cottage is a small enclosed patio garden with furniture and off road parking for two cars as well a range of footpaths that lead from the front door of the cottage. Cwm Yr Afon Cottage is a beautifully restored part of an old stone farmhouse and is a perfect cottage for walkers of all abilities or for a couple wanting a remote romantic retreat.
The village of Llanbedr quietly nestles between the Snowdonia Mountains and the stunning beaches of the North Wales coastline. Boasting its own mild climate due to its unusual positioning and an array of wildlife and birds including soaring buzzards, Llanbedr provides good local shops and an excellent pub. The town of Harlech is just 3 miles away, dominated by its majestic 13th Century castle, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants. With the delights of Snowdonia National Park and beautiful Cardigan Bay to discover, this is a fantastic holiday location at any time of the year.
