The Anchorage is perfect for families and friends and is situated in the Anglesey seaside village of Church Bay. The Anchorage has been renovated and decorated to a high standard and boasts sea views and open plan rooms. The cottage sleeps eight and has four bedrooms - two doubles, both ensuite which have stunning views of the sea and Holyhead Mountain and there are two twin bedrooms. The cottage also has two other bathrooms - one on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The Anchorage has a welcoming sitting area with woodburner and sea views, a well equiped fitted kitchen, dining area, utility room and front porch. The cottage also has an enclosed front garden with patio and furniture, which is perfect to relax in after a busy day exploring the area. The Anchorage is ideally situated to visit the many attractions, beaches, villages and towns Anglesey has to offer.
The delightful Church Bay is situated on the breathtaking coastline in North West Anglesey and has a fabulous seafood restaurant and beach. The stunning Blue Flag sandy beach has excellent kayaking, fishing and birdwatching. A shop and post office (open on Tuesday and Thursdays) can be found in the nearby village of Llanfaethlu. Also nearby is Wales' only working windmill, where visitors can see how corn is ground the old fashioned way. Many outdoor activities can be enjoyed within the area, such as coastal walks, fishing, birdwatching and climbing within Snowdonia. Within driving distence is the delightful Rhosneigr beach, where a number of watersports, such as kitesurfing, diving and sailing can all be enjoyed. The area boasts three 18 hole golf courses, the splendid Anglesey Sea Zoo, the historic town of Beaumaris and the stunning National Trust owned Plas Newydd Mansion. Church Bay is a wonderful base and there is something for everyone at any time of the year.
