Situated in the heart of southern Snowdonia and set between the imposing Cader Idris mountain range and the sea is the small market town of Dolgellau. Combining the many outdoor pursuits on offer in Snowdonia National Park with those available at the seaside, this is an excellent place for a fun family holiday. With soft sandy beaches at the nearby towns of Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovey, visitors will be spoiled for choice when selecting a location for traditional seaside fun. Dolgellau itself offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat whilst there are a number of excellent restaurants in many of the nearby coastal resorts. Cyclists, climbers and walkers will also be at home with fantastic mountains, forests and waterfalls to explore, as well as stunning inland scenery, castles and beaches.
