This delightful cottage is simply brimming with character. Built from brick, it houses exposed beams, a woodburner, two snug bedrooms and a private lawned garden, which boasts unparalleled views of the valley below. Visitors have use of the owner's heated outdoor swimming pool and there are plenty of scenic walks and cycle rides in the area. The Nine Meres of Ellesmere are nearby and in the town you can find a variety of shops and pubs.
Overton is situated on the River Dee and enjoys magnificent views towards Llangollen. The picturesque village centre is a conservation area and features many interesting historical listed buildings, a number of small shops, places to get a bite to eat and an excellent public house. Many of the houses here can be traced back to the 18th Century. Overton is also home to St Mary's Church, which can be traced back as far as the Norman Conquest and is well known for its ancient churchyard yew trees which are one of the 'Seven Wonders of Wales'. There is a picnic area adjacent to the church where visitors can join the Maelor Walk, a 25 mile long footpath, or enjoy some of the 40 miles of public footpaths that run through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the Nine Meres of Ellesmere and the historic city of Chester.
