Colwyn Bay's Forties Festival 2015 18/04/2015 - 19/04/2015
Event Times*: 10am 4pm
After the success of 2014's event, Colwyn Bay's Forties Festival returns for its fourth year in April 2015!
We'll see firm favourites return for the weekend celebration - joined by some new faces! As always, the festival will include live 40's style music, displays and entertainment. Guests include singers 'George Formby' and Lilli De Carlo, Llandudno Swing Band, 'Winston Churchill' and 'General Montgomery'. We'll also have a replica military plane, vehicles, weapons display, demonstrations, local food producers and more!|
Back by popular demand, Sunday will see the return of the Battle on Colwyn Bay beach. This energetic display is a must see and will be held on the new beach area between the pier and Porth Eirias. |
Again, the highlight of the weekend is the Ballroom Blitz Dance, a 1940's style dance held on Saturday evening at Parc Eirias, with live music of the era. Come and join us - dress up 40's style and enjoy the fun!|

This whole event has been inspired by the fact that Colwyn Bay played a massive strategic role during the Second World War as the headquarters for the Ministry of Food for the whole of the UK. The festival will be the town's way of celebrating this fact together with being a fantastic opportunity to showcase the town's diverse range of businesses
