| BODNANT
GARDENS |
|
Bodnant
Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the
UK, situated above the River Conwy looking across
towards the Snowdonia range. The upper garden around
Bodnant Hall consists of the terraced gardens and
informal lawns shaded by trees. The lower portion,
is formed by the valley of the River Hiraethlyn and
contains the Wild garden. The Garden will interest
amateur and professional gardeners, artists, photographers
and families alike. There are dramatic colours throughout
the season |

| CONWY
CASTLE |
|
Built
for King Edward I between 1283-87, Master James of
St George's design at Conwy remains one of the most
outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture.
The distinctive elongated shape, with its two barbicans,
eight massive towers and great bow-shaped hall, was
dictated by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the
castle stands. |

| GREAT
ORME COUNTRY
PARK |
|
Whether
your interests lie in history, bird watching and natural
history or simply walking or enjoying spectacular
views, the Great Orme has something to offer everyone.
The geology, wildlife, archaeology and landscape is
of such importance that much of the headland has been
designated a Special Area of Conservation, a Site
of Special Scientific Interest and a Heritage Coast.
The wildlife of the Great Orme is very rich. The Orme
supports an enormous variety of wildflowers and invertebrates.
The wide range of flowers on the Great Orme provide
food for many species of butterfly, and during the
summer months 'clouds' of butterflies can often be
seen. |
