Trefor is a peaceful seaside village on the north west coast of the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd, North Wales. Although small, Trefor is still a popular holiday destination and with the Yr Eifl Mountain (564m) as a backdrop for the entire village, Trefor is the perfect place for visitors who enjoy roaming both beach and mountainsides. The village is just 26 minutes from the town of Caernarfon and 35 minutes from the city of Bangor, providing plenty to do both in Trefor and the surrounding area. | The village has a small beach, which begins with glorious sands running into what eventually becomes a pebbled and shingled area.
The beaches are popular with both holidaymakers and wildlife...with seals often making the shoreline their home. If you’re interested in sports, Trefor’s piers offer activities such as angling, scuba diving and pier jumping, (but were not recommending the pier jumping). Accommodation in Trefor includes self-catering cottages, guesthouses and hotels nearby in Nefyn and Pwllheli. So if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that’s still packed with activities, it’s all here in Trefor….
