Fowhope is a village that lies on the banks of the meandering River Wye in Herefordshire, England. Fownhope sits in the Wye Valley south east of Hereford, south of Prior's Frome, east of Callow and north east of Little Dewchurch.
The village is surrounded by beautiful scenery and lovely walks including the Wye Valley Walk. The walk starts at Chepstow and runs 136 miles to Plynlimon.
The parish church of Fownhope, is dedicated to St Mary. It is one of the largest churches in the county, no less than 119 feet long.
There are a range of activities to do in Fownhope including walks, golf, canoeing and also hot air balloon rides.
