Llanystumdwy is a small village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It is most notable as the village where David Lloyd George lived as a boy until he was 16. His grave is located in woodland on the outskirts of the village. But who the heck is David Lloyd George You may be asking. Have you never heard the song "Lloyd George knew my father, father knew Lloyd George ...Lloyd George knew my father ... father knew Lloyd George".
Well its that Lloyd George. (He was a bit of a womaniser and the song was a polite way of pointing it out.) Oh and by the way he was also the British Prime Minister at the head of a wartime coalition government between the years 1916-1922 and was the Leader of the Liberal Party from 1926-1931.....
