Llangefni is the county town of, and is located close to the centre of, the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. The town market is held in Llangefni town centre on Thursdays and Saturdays. The Afon Cefni flows through the town from its source at the Cefni reservoir some 1km north of the town. The Cefni reservoir and the immediate surrounding area has been designated as a nature reserve and as a further measure of conservation an artificial plantation of trees runs along its north shore.
The Dingle a wooded nature reserve has recently been developed with wooden boardwalks and foot bridges. Wildlife abounds here, including kingfishers, moorhens, yellow hammers, and wild ducks which flock around the lake, and spotted woodpeckers, tree creepers and blue tits nestle amongst the woodland. Towards the Llyn Cefni reservoir, just 7 minutes from Llangefni town centre, you can find many more birds such as moorhens, herons, teal ands swans, and strolling through the forest you might be lucky enough to spot an otter or even a fox. ....
