Caerphilly is located at the bottom of the Rhymney Valley, in Caerphilly County Borough, South Wales, UK. Being just 6 miles, 10 km, from the City of Cardiff it is a popular base for commuters to the capital city. The town has a population of approximately 31,000. Most well known for Caerphilly Cheese and Caerphilly Castle, the second largest castle in Europe. Each summer the two combine to host the Big Cheese Festival at Caerphilly Castle which combines historical re-enactments, arts and crafts displays, a funfair and a fireworks display.
