The Twrch Mountain Bike
Trail :
This is a 15 km (approx. 9.5 miles) long trail with testing climbs, swooping
decents and demanding technical sections. The trail is almost pure singletrack
and is free to ride all year.
Allow between 1 to 2 hours.
Classed as Technically Difficult
Y Mynydd Mojo :
This is a 1.9 km (approx. 1.25 miles) long downhill trail, for experienced
riders only, dropping down the steep hillsides of Cwmcarn. There are car
parks at the top and bottom and the visitor centre is at the finish for
a nice cup of tea.

Mountain Bike Trail with testing climbs, swooping decents and demanding
technical sections. For more information contact the Visitor Centre. There
will be a temporary Visitor Centre, while a new centre is built in 2006,
which will be serving light food, drinks and snacks. The trails are remaining
open during the rebuilding.
Visitor Centre Opening Times: Easter to September 9am - 5pm, Fri to Sun
9am - 6pm.
Call for extended opening times in July and August.
October to Easter 9am - 5pm all week except Friday 9am - 4.30pm.
Call for Christmas and New Year opening times.
How to get there:
Leave M4 motorway at junction 28, headnorth on A467 past Crosskeys towards
Abercarn. Turn right at fifth roundabout, Cwm Carn Forest Centre is signposted
from here. These trails are close to the highly populated areas of South
Wales and also close to the English Borders, therefore in an ideal
location for short break mountain bike holidays.
