Llyn Ogwen is a lake in Gwynedd, Snowdonia, North Wales. Llyn Ogwen sits in a valley formed by the slopes of Pen yr Ole Wen and Tryfan. The A5 Bethesda to Capel Curig road runs alongside Llyn Ogwen. Llyn Ogwen lies at a height of 303 metres above sea level and has an area of 78 acres (320,000 m2), with a maximum depth of 3 metres. It is fed by a number of rivers including the Afon Lloer and the Afon Denau. Parking is available at the car park close to Ogwen Cottage at the western end of the lake, and also in several laybys alongside the lake. Directions: From the north exit the A55 at Junction 11 head south through Bethesda to Pont Pen y Benglog (Ogwen Cottage). Car Park side of road. From the south exit Betws y Coed on the A5 west follow the A5 through Capel Curig to Pont Pen y Benglog (Ogwen Cottage). Car Park side of road.
