Gregynog Hall on Newtown travel guide
Travel Guide for Wales and England >  Gardens in Wales and England >  Gregynog Hall
Hidden away in the peaceful Montgomeryshire countryside, is a centre for conferences, education and the arts. The Hall is surrounded by 750 acres of gardens, woodland and farmland, making Gregynog one of the most peaceful and relaxing venues imaginable. Extensive woodland with waymarked walks and fine trees, rhododendrons and spring bulbs. Sunken lawns before the house associated with unfinished design by William Emes. 19th century fountains and remarkable zig zag hedge of golden yew. Grounds open all year round, contributions welcome. Gregynog Hall provides an ideal venue away from the pressures of the everyday work environment and is a venue where innovation and creativity can flourish.
An ancient Hall with a victorian face - wedding and conference venue plus Grade 1 listed garden open to the public. Full events programme throughout the year. Shop and Courtyard Cafe. Please see website for full details and list of events.

Sh#t Inn

Mar 10, 2013 by Clarke

I was asked to leave the Sh#t Inn recently after committing the heinous crime of giving my partner a gentle kiss (no snogging!). I'm sure you'll agree this is shocking and unbelievable, but it did happen. Our memories of a lovely weekend in a beautiful part of Wales will be forever blighted by the the actions of the landlady in the most unwelcoming pub in the whole of Wales.
